Responsibilities
- Optimize performance across OBIEE/OAS BI Server, Web Server, and database layers
- Identify and resolve system bottlenecks and slow-running queries
- Implement advanced RPD tuning techniques including:
- Aggregate navigation
- Partitioning
- Fragmentation
- Design and maintain Oracle BI semantic models (RPD)
- Develop Physical, BMM, and Presentation layers
- Optimize SQL queries using Explain Plan, AWR, and ASH
- Push computation logic to database layer for better performance
- Develop high-performance dashboards and BI Publisher reports
- Monitor system performance, usage tracking, and capacity planning
- Configure connection pools and JVM tuning for high availability
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable BI solutions
Required Skills
- Strong experience with:
- OBIEE 12c
- Oracle Analytics Server (OAS)
- Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC)
- Expertise in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning
- Strong RPD development experience including:
- Hierarchies
- Variables
- Object & row-level security
- Hands-on experience with WebLogic Server administration and JVM tuning
- Strong understanding of:
- Data warehousing
- Dimensional modeling
- Star schema design
- BI performance optimization
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ODI or Informatica
- Exposure to enterprise-scale analytics and BI environments
- Oracle OBIEE/OAC certifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 5–10+ years of OBIEE development experience
- Strong focus on analytics performance tuning
